I have come to a recent realization... After years of not being happy with my appearance and my body type, I am at peace. I have been enjoying long walks outside. During which I "smell the roses", I take advantage of every photo op because my camera goes with me everywhere. I am finding beauty everywhere and appreciating the myriad of visual asthetics the world has to offer. I have hobbies, and interests, and by evaluating my thinking errors I am finally starting to become the person I was always meant to be.
So I figured this out: Whatever my body does while I am doing all of these things, is what my body is supposed to look like. Whatever wrinkles or creases appear in my face as a result of my time in the sun sqinting, well they are ok too. Life is too short to not enjoy the things that make us happy with a clear conscience. We can't beat ourselves up over our mistakes, it only contributes to our feeling poorly. So my advice for the summer ahead? Be content with the good things in your life, take action to correct or modify the things that are not good, and be open to anything. I don't mean to neglect responsibilities, but more that in all the hustle and bustle of daily life you take at least 30 minutes doing something for you that makes you happy. Everything else will fall into place and you'll find a new strength in dealing with the challengest hat head your way.
Too preachy? Not my intent. When I figure out something good I just want to share it with people. So here I am sharing with whoever wants to accept.
As for the knitting? Still loving it! Just taught a class at the Wool Cabin on my first Reversible Cables Scarf pattern. Last class is this Friday. My next class will be the Monkee/Bunnee Class so for any locals that are interested in attending you can see the details here.
Also, two new scarf patterns will be available after June 1st. The Mesh Lace Reversible cable scarf, perfect for chilly spring mornings or as a light accessory, and the Floating Reversible Cables Scarf. You can check them out on Ravelry and if you want to be notified when its abailable, just PM me with your email and I'll keep you posted.
